In this tutorial you will learn to create a new specific face for a player including the following steps:

1)       Reuse a face texture developed for FIFA 08

2)       Create a new model morphing more faces from FIFA 10

I will create a face for Pippo Inzaghi, I know… the final result is not perfect but I am sure you can do better, what is important is to show you the possibilities of the tool.

First it is very useful to have a reference picture, I used a picture from the official site of AC Milan. We will use it as a model.

Select a white player, and load the texture checking the “Show Textures” box and clicking the refresh button, this texture will be merged later.

Now we also need the texture of Pippo Inzaghi from FIFA 08. Here it is for your commodity.

Load it in “FIFA 08 Texture Conversion”. Now the button “Export to FIFA 10” becomes enabled. Select  the option “Use FIFA 10 skin tone” and click the button.

The target texture will be updated merging the FIFA 10 and the FIFA 08 textures.

Now create a new model of type 1, select Giggs in the Source Head and import the model face (but not the head textures), select Heize in the “Source Head” and import the hair. This is how it will look.

Now select Király and make the morphing of the two models at 50%

Select Mario Balotelli and make the morphing of the two models at 30%

This is the final result is the foolowing. Maybe trying the morphing with other models you can do better.

When morphing you will see that not all the models can be morphed together. This depends from the structure of the model itself and it is not a bug of FDM. Normally generic head models cannot be merged with specific head models.
