The fifa.fat file has a limited capacity and when its size grows too much the game crashes in the starting phase. Fortunatetely, there are many files that are not necessary to the good operation of the game and can be removed without any drawback. From the Tools menu select Clean FAT and wait for the program to complete the operation. It may require some minutes  

 After this operation you will have more room for your own edited files.
