There are a few things that you should know just before you start in order to avoid bad surprises. If you are an absolute beginner in FIFA editing the first thing to do is a backup copy of the subfolder “data” below your FIFA XX main folder. It will take a while but now you have the possibility to recover any situation.

CM10 will modify the following files:

·    the main database fifa.db, it is located in the subfolder "data\cmn"

·     the language database that you have chosen or the one automatically selected according to the information saved in the Windows Registry. The language databases are located in the subfolder "data\cmn\fe"

·     the zdata_XX.big archives, these files contain most of the resources used by FIFA while playing a game. The zdata files are located in the subfolder "data"

·     the archives located in the “data\gui” subfolder, these files contain the resources used by FIFA for its Graphical User Interface.

So learn how the zdata files, gui files and database files are managed and which incompatibilities with the files saved by FIFA can be generated.

Once you have understood these points you are ready to start.
